A model of sustainable risk management

This paper presents the results of a study that evaluated how well the risk management techniques used by emergency planners are integrated with the principles of sustainability. The study confirmed that in recent years risk management practice has become more closely aligned with the principles of sustainability, but the practice would benefit from a more structured framework in order to improve the alignment of risk and sustainability objectives. This proposes a framework to assist emergency planners in achieving a more sustainable approach to risk management.
